On tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Fest in Hayward. Jim Beam -bal aged.

Black in color with a nice small tan head.

Aroma is somewhat mild with chocolate, spice, oak, and bourbon.

Flavor is sweet and malty with roast and chocolate, rye, bourbon, oak, and vanilla. Fairly complex taste, and a good break from all the more intense beers out there at this event.

Medium-bodied and fairly smooth on the palate with soft carbonation.

Drinkability is pretty good relative to their other Beam beers. This is not too crazy for a bourbon barrel aged beer. Overall good but not a standout among all the other great beers there.
