really solid ipa, fruity with the best parts of mosaic hops, smoothed out by a nicely constructed and layered grain base, and without over hopped bite or greenness. it is beyond me that a brewery would just call a beer its style in this day and age, especially in this style, no name? come on. uniform haziness to this, not sedimented or too milky thick looking, a soft richer orangish tone to it, and a great inch of white head from the tap that stays for the whole pint. the nose is more than just the hops, there is some toasted warmth to the grain without it being old school malty, oats sure, but definitely a little more nuance worked in, more balance without sugar, nice. the mosaic has a candied thing in the flavor, could be cryo, it starts early, hits all the pineapple candy notes, but then is clean through the second half, some white peach character, lightly floral, and then some nuttiness from the grain in support, really nice flow, hop tidiness, and only light bitterness on the swallow to help it resolve. a clean ferment, off dry and without it presenting as one of those new school strains engineered for the hazy styles. basic in a good way, and they really have gotten the most out of these hops. well made beer all around, more drinkable than many, really dug this! these guys make better beer than they often get credit for...
