Bought and consumed in Uvita, Costa Rica. Big banana bread flavor. Some bubble gum in the middle. Hits all the right notes for a weiss but is a bit watery. Still a good find here in Costa Rica for variety.

i have to say, i entirely disagree with some of the other reviewers here, this is at its core a hefe type, but it has some terroir to it, or at the very least some awareness of locale, brewed in costa rica where its hot and humid, and where a cleaner, lighter, but not necessarily less complex version of the style is more than appropriate. pretty nose to this, a different kind of fruity than banana like usual, pear and even green grape instead, but not at all sweet. the flavor has some of that too, undoubtedly from the yeast, which ferments this beer to a crisp bone dry in the end. i can taste the grain, a very pale wheat, super light, maybe in tandem with some basic pils or pale barley malt, its simple, but its dialed in. the yeast is flavorful here, but its not too much, subtle belgian elements have me thinking witbier, and i do get some citrus. the spice half of the yeast equation is not quite coriander though, more of a soft clove or something, some apple notes before a very dry finish, almost has a lagered vibe about it in terms of feel, and shoots off aggressive carbonation which tickles the roof of my mouth. ice cold this is excellent, a good refresher even if it is a bit off style. this has me excited for my upcoming trip to costa rica, i thought all we had down there was imperial!

12oz brown bottle, sample from the importer.
Seems to be a very reserved and faded version of a Hefeweizen. Yeah, there is some very mild clove and some fruitiness that could have a slight banana edge with some other tropical fruitiness. Maltiness lands a little flat as well. Grainy but without any real bready depth. Was hoping for this one to be more to style, a decent sip at best.

Tried at a festival in Florida, on tap.
Beautiful golden yellow color, darker than some Weissbier, but very appealing.
Smell and Taste are excellent, Trigueña is not overly spiced with clove, just a hint which allows for the more tropical flavors and aromas to come through in aroma and flavor. Slight tangy end.
Crisp and refreshing feel, definitely something you can enjoy on a warm day in the sun.
Highly recommend this beer, it is new to Florida, so not in every store yet, but available along the Treasure Coast.

New to South Florida, this weissbier is crisp and refreshing, with fruity aromas and flavors (pineapple, banana). Really captured the Costa Rican essence in this beer. I highly recommend!

I tried Trigueña just because there was nothing better available and was pleasantly surprised. I had no faith in Cervecería del Centro since Ambar is a dull beer but Trigueña strikes me as a very good Wheat beer, great aftertaste and a very nice overall experience.
Awesome wheat beet (considering the alternative in CR is Tanomanso)
