I tried this one as part of a flight. It is marketed as a Session IPA so I thought it would be interesting. This beer features a golden-orange hue that seems to glow in the light. The clarity is quite cloudy and the head is bright white and dissipates nice and slowly to a sparse rockiness. 4/5 The aroma is very enticing with notes of tangerine, caramel, white bread, butter, and clover honey. It is very sweet but not a cloying sweetness. It is a sweetness that is rich, but not overpowering. The aromas are layered with each note coming out in its own due time. 4.25/5 The flavor is very much in line with the aroma with the primary notes being Valencia oranges and light caramel. There is also a bit of buttered white bread that comes out along with white wine grapes, providing an interesting combination of bready and fruity sweetness. Also noted is orange peel, which provides a nice bitter counterpoint to the sweetness of the rest of the beer. The bitterness is not overpowering in the slightest, allowing the sweetness to really shine through. There is only a slight lingering bitterness. 4/5 The mouthfeel is light and crisp throughout the entire profile with only a light carbonation tickle and a light dryness that lingers for a short time after swallowing. 4/5 This is a very enjoyable, and slightly more complex than expected, session IPA. Not near as bitter as many in this category due to the focus being put more on sweetness than bitterness.
