Kottbusser! Kottbusser is an ale style originating in the town of Kötbuss. Because of its use of wheat, oats, honey and molasses, it was outlawed in 1877 for violating the German beer purity law. This golden-hued ale tastes a bit like a slightly sweeter, nuttier altbier.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hints of malt. The taste started sweeter then turned slightly bitter at the end. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a good beer.

This beer tastes just like the brewery's Notes describe and is very tasty.
