look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 4
Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a dark red almost dark brown/black sort of color. Nice finger’s worth of white foamy head with slow dissipation. Light lace. The aroma centers around a nice blend of malty sweet toffee/caramel malts to citrusy hops with a dried floral crispness. The flavor does a good job blending the malts to the hops, sweet to bitter with a decent sharpness about it. Malty to hoppy sort of aftertaste. Quick semi-dry malty sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt fine for what was projected. Overall, pretty good amber ale worthy of having again.
