Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Tilted Barn Brewery, Exeter, RI
06/26/19
Served in a tulip
Cloudy yellow ochre appearance. The body was topped by a small, frothy, bright white crown that quickly dissolved. A bubbly ringlet encircled the liquid. Some streaky, drippy lacing cascaded along the sides of the glass.
The aroma was really fruity and bright initially. Peach and apricot notes were most apparent. Moderately sweet. After a few minutes, the nose turned much more pithy and citrusy. White grapefruit took over. Lots of zesty grapefruit peel too. Slightly piney and resiny. Hint of dankness. Later, the peach and apricot notes reappeared.
The flavor profile was also super grapefruit forward. White grapefruit specifically. Bit of tangy kumquat too. Piney, resiny notes appeared on the back end. More grapefruit as well. The beer finished uber pithy and dry with a punchy, lingering bitterness. As the beer warmed, the peach and apricot notes that were present in the aroma also appeared here.
Nice fluffy mouthfeel. Soft and creamy on the palate. The liquid contained fine, greater than average effervescence.
Fermented #14 is a solid Tilted Barn offering that reminded me of a more bitter and less fruit forward version of Violet, their flagship IPA. Glad I gave this a try.

Poured into a 13 oz Foam Tulip glass canned on 6/26/19 not sure of the ABV but seems around 8% and drinks way easier than that. Pours like a glass of pineapple oj with a finger of sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.75
Smell is guava, papaya, pineapple, tangerine, and just a hint of grapefruit rind. 4.75
Taste follows juicy as it gets guava, papaya, pineapple, tangerine, and very mild grapefruit this is really tasty. 4.75
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, soft gentle carbonation, sticky but not dry, and it is crazy drinkable but I can not tell you what the ABV is. 4.75
Overall this is just an amazing NEDIPA that I would say could hold its own with all the greats around the country. Impressive....4.75
