A decent destination out in the Williamsburg area. Excellent atmosphere with
plenty to look at as for the decorations. Friendly service, and as the website states the
brewery focuses on session ales which is a good thing. Overall a nice place to visit and pick up
some of their offerings. That said, the selections that they allow out of there in a growler leave
much to be desired as the little lady and I LOVE to fill growlers with brew that is not normal and or
limited run. Solution----BREW MORE OF IT AND RAISE THE PRICE OF THE GROWLER. It is true, if you
brew it they will come....and we come with cash. Just saying.

Great place. Loved the selection. Honestly, I was there near opening time on a Saturday. So it was hopping, but heard this is a fun place during events and evenings. I'm definitely going to visit again when back in Ohio.

Located about 30 miles east of Cincy, right downtown in the small town of Williamsburg. It's not a place that you would normally happen to be just passing by--it's really a destination. Very cool spot, located in an old firehouse. On the warm August day that I visited, the owner Adam was the only employee on the premises. He chatted with me for almost an hour about how he got the idea to build a brewery, and how he turned that vision into a reality.

It's a much larger space than I anticipated, with a long bar Adam built himself using wood from the existing building. Three large garage doors were open the day I visited--gave the place a very inviting appeal. Adam has plans for expanding into the next door properties. He hopes to start a barrel aging program, and looks to start canning in early 2016.

They offer flights at between $1.50 and $3.25 per sample. Howlers were priced $9-12. They had seven of their own beers on tap the day I visited. I tried all seven, and the overall quality was very good to great. I was really impressed by the wine and whiskey barrel-aged ale--delicious. And the Standpipe Stout was a standout! (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Old Firehouse Brewing is off the beaten path, but if you feel like taking a drive in the Southeastern Ohio countryside, this is a place that is definitely worth a visit!
