500ml bottle from Donegal, Ireland (€3.70):
Quite a nice smoked style porter with good roasted malts & coffee flavours running through it along with touches of sweetness in places. There was a nice balance & it proved to be a pleasant beer to sip away at over the course of an hour or so, a decent beer & one well worth picking up if you're in Ireland and manage to find it.

500ml bottle bought from McHughs, Dublin
Poured almost completely black - very little light gets through even when held up to light... Creamy brown head poured thick and foamy then faded to nice light layer... to dark to see any carbonation... light patchy lacing...
Aroma - Nice roasted chocolate maltiness, molasses / dark brown sugar notes, strong coffee, dark tart fruits (blackcurrants, prunes), peppery hop bitterness, light musty notes..
Taste - Strong roasted malts, creamy dark chocolate with some bitterness, tart fruits (blackcurrants, prunes), definite mustiness, some oat traces just come through, some light molasses sweetness, nice peppery hops, light burnt toffee notes...
Feel - Pretty smooth and creamy... Full bodied. Pretty drinkable...
Overall - A pretty good and well balanced example of a porter.... Recommended !!

On draft at Bull and Castle.
Ruby black with a tan cap. 4
Big roasty nose. 3.75
German rye bread malts, then cranberry, ash, and clean hops. 3.75
Lt-med, creamy, lean. 4
Classic Irish stout (despite the label), with some bite. Not sure why Perle hops. Nothing groundbreaking, but it will sell in Bray. 3.75
