Copenhagen 18/2 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Blue grey can with a wolf in profile in Wicklow Wolf's usual design.
Pours slightly unclear golden yellow with a small white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam stretching to over the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet floral, perfumed odor mingling with citrus fruit. Peach and flower bed. Citrus and lemon. Acerbic.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong sourish, tart bitterness. Aftertaste is tart and bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Dry and tart summer beer.

Hazy gold, frothy and delicious. Poured from can. Instant aroma of hops and grapefruit. Taste pretty much follows nose, with a dry finish to balance acidity. Good stuff from a solid Irish brewery.

Had from a can
Currently enjoying this beer for the first time, look when poored had a nice golden colour, but had no head retention as expected, smells very fruity kinda like grape fruit, taste was nice and drinkable bitter but not too bitter and fruity as says on can and from smell. With regards to mouth feel, went down easy. Overall nice drink enjoyable and is a generally easy drink to drink as someone who's not a major fan of pale ales

July 2017: Keg halfpint at The Long Stone, Dublin. Golden colour, white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops. Distinctly hoppy flavour, medium sweet, piney and grapefruity notes, quite bitter.

I am trying a pint of this beer off the tapper at The Bleeding Horse pub in Dublin. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had subtle citrus fruit notes. The taste is nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi dry malt base and gentle ripe citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in the with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Had on tap. Pours clear, gold in color with one half inch head. Taste is tangerine, orange, and pale malt. Juicy, mix of sweet and bitter, light bodied with moderate carbonation. Nice sessionable surprise.

500ml bottle from Reilly's (Lisnaskea, Ireland):
Pretty disappointing stuff overall from Wicklow Wolf, it had all the right ingredients but didn't seem strong enough or to come together well sadly. There was a lot of carbonation to the beer, definitely too much with it feeling gassy at points & the head in particular was a concern, it was ridiculously big when pouring the beer. It was drinkable throughout but at no point would I describe it as a good or overly enjoyable offering, had the hops & caramel malts been stronger than I might have enjoyed this one more.

On tap at Martello, Bray.
Rimming sandstone over copper gold. 4
Caramel shortbreads with just a bit of orange. 3.75
Honey on pan, a bit of powdery bite, then Cascadey tangerine and flowers. 3.75
Light, fizzy, crisp, thin. 3.75
Screams entry level. I’ve had more hops in English Blondes. But does, I suspect, what it’s meant to. SNPA lite. 3.75
