Afterglow is an illuminating take on our classic English Brown Ale with serious notes of creamy chocolate and is brewed with raspberry puree and toasted coconut.

Appearance - Pours cola brown with a tan, finger width head. Sub-par retention as it fizzes away like soda, leaving a barren surface with a razor thin ring around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Raspberry comes through first on the nose, then coconut and chocolate. Underlying metallic earthiness?
Taste - Coconut is prominent, with lesser chocolate and caramel sweetness. TOuch of earth mid-taste. Not picking up any raspberry until the finish, when the other flavors die and it shows up in the form of residual berry tartness and sweetness.
Mouthfeel - LIght-to-medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker with a clean, easy finish.
Overall - Pretty good, but the raspberry is buried. Not as sweet as I imagined, but perhaps that's a good thing because it ends up being a really drinkable brew that you can totally crush.
