Should be listed as an oatmeal stout.
The chocolate note is incredibly dark, rich and complex, alongside some leathery wood, dark fruit, and licorice. With the thick and creamy mouthfeel and pleasingly earthy presence of oats, the beer approaches luxury and indulgence yet is very light on the sweetness. A great take on the style - you can tell they took great care with the result, and there’s plenty of balance and nuance on display. Quite easy to put a few of these away, but don’t drink it too cold.
