This is a very tasty, English-style barleywine, somewhat reminiscent of both Young's Old Nick and Anchor Old Foghorn.

Somewhat murky deep, slightly reddish, brown, it has a smallish but frothy, long-lasting, frothy head that leaves some frothy lace.

The aroma is winey-fruity with dark toast, spice, raisins, caramel.

The taste is sweet but also pungently spicey with some light bitterness that soon strengthen near the finish. It's raisiny-grapey, caramelly, toasty, winey, a bit leafy and junipery. It's strongly tastying but very enjoyable, with the tastes generally blending nicely even if faintly rough. It's also pretty easy to drink.

This was Delicious! Easily one of favorite barley wines.
Nice dark brown color and the smell was great. Every time I go to this brewery
they have a beer that I fall in love with.
