Black IPA enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. A decent black IPA. Dark bodied with a light tan head. Above average mouthfeel. Above average carbonation. Quite hoppy, they are not stingy with the hops here. Hits the style, hoppy version of it not substantive roastiness as some take in their direction.

Charcoal black body with brown around the edges. Presented with no head.
Loads of chocolate malts with some citrus and floral hops.
Some chocolate and a hint of coffee. Big wallop of hops, with pine, citrus and floral flavors. Long lasting bitterness, with a kind of metallic taste.
Pretty good beer, but honestly, not enough of the roasted malts that should be present in a CDA.
