Well, this brewery turns out several good beers Scottish Ale, Barley Wine, Double IPA, Maibock, Hop Harvest IPA. I would like to submit positive reviews for those beers, but they have yet to be added to the database, and since I dont have 20 beer reviews to my credit, I cant add them. (Will I get in trouble if I ask some other qualified BA to add those?)
So, in the meantime ..
Appearance: Very pale amber, with little head and no lacing. Pretty light in color for the style.
Aroma: A moderate smell of sweet malt and vague fruit.
Taste: Not particularly rich or interesting. Malt sweetness and not a lot more. This beer lacks something perhaps a little more hop balance to define the flavor, or a touch more concentration of malt flavor to give it some depth.
Mouthfeel: Decent. Not overly carbonated, which is a good thing for an Octoberfest, in my opinion. A bit of viscosity
Drinkability: One was enough for me, but not because it was overpowering, or filling, or funky, or whatever. It just isnt that intriguing. One sip does not cause me to look forward to the next. But, thats just me. I would suspect that many people would find this a good session beer. And to be honest, Octoberfest/Marzen is not among my favorite styles

On tap. Poured out a semi-opaque, golden amber color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of bread crust, caramel and toffee. Sweet maltiness with a nice bitter finish.

It is a bronze colored beer with not much head or lace. It has a multi grain aroma. It has traditional Marzen like taste. It has some grassy earthy and graininess to the flavor. At the same time it is very sweet with malt. There is a crisp and clean bitterness from the good use of hops. It is light but almost medium bodied. There is a little bit of fizz bite but not much.

On tap in a shaker glass, it poured a deep amber, very clear. No head or lace. Mild, malty nose with a hint of hop. The taste is dominated by malt. Thick and rich with hints of caramel and figs. Just a little hop bitterness. Very full mouth feel. Good drinkability. A decent Oktoberfest. Probably a little old. A fresh version of the beer would likely score better.

Pour a very nice dark amber, with a nice white head. It had a very good carmel malty smell to it with just a hint of hops.
The taste was of carmel maltiness and some hop spiceness. It has a medium body and is very rich and smooth. In my opinion very drinkable.
