Appearance: Dark amber, somewhat cloudy, moderate head and good lacing.
Aroma: Very nice plenty of sweet malt, NW hops, fruit, and light chocolate.
Taste: A quintessential American Barley Wine. Very rich with fruit, sweet malt, caramel, chocolate, and loads of tangy, piney, floral, citrusy hops. Great balance. This one tasted like it had mellowed in the cellar for a good while before being tapped. Yummy.
Mouthfeel: A pretty full-bodied, moderately carbonated brew with a nice dose of hop and alcohol bite on the end. Not the syrupy style, but plenty of substance.
Drinkability: Only falling asleep would interrupt a session of guzzling this beer.

On tap. Poured a clear amber color with a small off-white head of thick foam. It smelled of sweet caramel, toffee and a touch of booze. It tasted of sweet bread, toasted malt, toffee, caramel and hints of pine. There was a mild boozy flavor.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-tan color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of alcohol, sweet malt, hops, hint of pale malt, yeast, and hint of roasted malt. Fits the style of an American Barleywine. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of alcohol, sweet malt, hint of pale malt, hint of roasted malt, hops, and slight yeast. Overall, weak appearance, but good aroma, feel, and body.
