500ml can, 7% ABV. I swear the language on the front of the can is in Czech, but this is from Poland. Huh.
This beer pours a clear medium golden yellow colour, with two fingers of thin puffy white head, which settles none too slowly, leaving a few specks here and there around the glass. It smells of caramel malt, overripe apple mush, a bit of yeast, and sweet alcohol. The taste is sweet bready/caramel malt, some sugary dark fruit, more mild yeast, and a soft-edged metallic essence. The carbonation is moderate, the body medium weight, a bit cloying in the sugary way, and adequately smooth. It finishes still sweet, fruit and yeast esters, with an understated booze stripe running through it all.
Well, quite an unusual Eastern European offering - one replete with Belgian influences, wherein the elevated ABV is much, much easier to take than I was expecting.

Out of its pretty bad-ass looking can, this beer pours a nice and clear amber colour with a frothy, slightly rocky, just off-white head that reduces to almost nothing and leaves almost no traceable lacing on my glass.
Aromas of sweet Belgian-esque caramel malt, grass, a bit of metal with just the slightest hints of piney hops lingering in the background.
Taste is dominated by the sweetness of the malt with some nice notes of dark fruit, finishing with, again, a Belgian-esque brown sugary sweetness and just a twang of bitterness from the hops on the linger. A little metallic flavour is noticeable on the finish as well.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and tinny with a touch of oil and just not as crisp as I would like it to be on the finish. Not the cleanest of beers.
As for drinkability, I must say that it does hide its 7.0% ABV quite well. However, the lack of balance towards the sweet side and it's relatively unclean mouthfeel make this beer a bit more of a chore to quaff instead of a typical euro lager.
I can't really say I would buy this beer again. It does offer up some unique Belgian-like flavours not usually found in euro lagers but given its relative lack of both balance and crispness, I would soon switch to another.

1 pint .9 oz bottle. Aroma is mildly skuny with stale hops and caramel malt present along with a deeper, sweeter fruity aroma. Body is light cedar brown and holds a firm thumb thick white head. Fore is very sweet with mild brown sugar notes, caramel and honey making a play. Soft, but still well carbonated. Finish is quite sweet with a syrupy honey flourish. Not a world beater, but definitely something worth trying for the experience.
