Larnaka 11/7 2017. 50 cl can from Habang Store. Golden shield with two goats on the can and a declaration in Polish, that this is a "Refreshment with temperament".
Pours clear pale yellow with big white head. Diminishes gradually to a thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Lacing along the side of the glass.
Aroma is quite malty. Hay, grass and salt.
Low carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is thin and pretty uninteresting. Ok balance between medium sweetness and medium to light bitterness.
Drinkable in a very warm place like Cyprus, but I find it pretty hard to detect the aforementioned "Temperament".

Wow I really thought I had tried every Polish beer in existence, and just found this...
First beer of the day. Very impressive head, though not particularly smooth. Quite clear in the glass, with irregular bubbles.
Faint bubbly hoppy aroma, fairly typical of more budget style pilsners that contain "hop extract".
Flavour is pretty impressive. The malt has a distinct, quite sweet flavour, and the hops is noticeable also. Impressive mouthfeel that gives various taste sensations on the tongue. Definitely more German style than typical Polish beers like Tyskie, Zubr and Lech. However the "hops extract" is noticeable, so it doesn't have the depth of flavour as a proper German pilsner such as Radeberger. Still, it's far superior to most budget pilsners out there. Still, 4% is a bit low.
I would rarely give such a light and weak pilsner a score that is this good, however this really does have a perfect sweet malt and hops balance, while still being light. I can't remember the price so I'm not sure if it is budget or not, but it looks budget form the can design. It needs some bisons and some brighter colours for sure. Maybe this rating is a bit too high because I just really need a beer at the moment. But anyway, it's pretty good for sure. Dzieki

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles in the center of the glass and a thin collar around the edge.
S: Light aromas of bready malts are present in the nose along with faint hints of grassy hops and sweetness.
T: Like the smell, the taste has light flavors of bready malts along with some hints of grainy malts and a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little watery and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink but both the smell and taste seem to be bland compared to other beers in the style.

I must say, this has been quite the New Beer Sunday (Week 363) for me! I am going to be satiated on CANned European beers for at least the foreseeable future after today. Good times, man, good times.
From the CAN: "Piwo-BeerPivo-Biere-Birra-Sor"; "Wysmienite Tradycyjne (Excellent Traditional)"; "Oryginalna Polska Receptura (Original Polish Recipe)"; "Piwo Jasne (Light Beer)".
The day is wrapping up nicely, o my brothers! The Crack & Glug was flawless and created a dense two fingers of bone-white head with most-excellent retention. The color was a to-die-for deep gold with NE-quality clarity, enabling me to see into my future, which holds the promise of artisan pizza along with more beer. Nose was clean, grassy and utterly welcomed after some of today's nonsense. Of the five today, two were deemed worthy. Does that make you want to take up the gauntlet of The CANQuest (TM)? I didn't think so. Mouthfeel was medium and the Noble hops just seemed to dance across my beaten and battered tongue. Had I saved the best for last? Well, no, it was not orgasm-inducing, but it tasted a whole lot better than many of its predecessors. It smelled nice, it tasted good, CAN't that be enough? I've had girlfriends that could not meet those criteria. Finish was crisp and clean and I suddenly felt the desire for some crisp pizza ... Peace, babies, I'm out!

Another can sent my way by the legendary woodychandler. Poured from a 16.9 oz. can. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is sweet, considerable grains present. Taste is crisp, grains and malts, slightly sweet. Feels light in the mouth and overall is an easy drinking and enjoyable beer.

I came across this brew at Beers of the Worlds in Rochester, New York. At a little over a buck for a pint, I thought about giving it a shot. Very light in texture and mellow going down. A nice hop after taste, similar to a Czech style pilsener. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a metallic aftertaste that is similar to some Euro lagers. still, a decent, low alcohol lager that is quite sessionable.

Picked up a 16oz pounder for I think a buck at EuroMarket in Queens. Not a bad deal. At 4%, this tastes like a slightly lighter Bitburger. There's a distinct, spicy hop note int he aroma and flavor. The grains also step up as the beer warms with a little crusty bread. No, it's not richly flavored, but it's not bad and it's a fine lawnmower beer. I certainly wouldn't mind bringing a case to a party.
