Genova 23/7 2024. 50 cl can from Gulliver, Via Nazionale, Sestri Levante. Black can with a three-leaf clover in grey. Fitting for an Irish Stout which does not look like a Stout and hails from Poland.
Pours dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Looks more like a Cola than a Stout. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sugary sweet odor. Brown sugar in abundance, toffee, burnt caramel and honey. More Malt Soda than Stout.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit greasy, flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong and sugary sweetness followed by a weak bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and unpleasant.
Bizarre.
