Sestri Levante 21/7 2024. 33 cl bottle from iN’s Mercato, Via Vincenzo Fascie, Sestri Levante. Simple red label with the name of the beer in white letters.
Pours dark amber with a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with a bit of moldy gym bag and some dark fruits. Caramel, toffee and a bit of sweet biscuit. Moldy blanket. Plums and raisins.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost fly texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a light tart sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a sourish undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is caramel-ish.
A quite malty and sweet brew inspired by a Belgian Dubbel.
