Sestri Levante 21/7 2024. 33 cl bottle from iN’s Mercato, Via Vincenzo Fascie, Sestri Levante. Simple gold label with the name of the beer in white letters.
Pours clear golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam unable of covering much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of malts mingling with sharp alcohol and sourish grains. Sweet pale malts, white bread and straws. Metallic alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, a bit greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sourish tang. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry and boozy.
Doppio Malta indeed - with its own metallic charm.
