300ml pour on-draught for 35000 VND (plus sneaky 15% service charges) @ the brewpub.
Bready, but more or less true to style. The brewmaster trained at Paulaner, but that doesn't show here. Dark malts/brown malts, and that's it. Simple, shallow, forgettable - but more or less balanced.
Smooth, wet, medium-bodied, well-carbonated, and of adequate heft and weight on the palate.
Drinkable but mediocre, Lion's dark beer is a throwaway lager at best. Pricey for the quality, and not worthy of a second purchase.

On tap at the brewpub, served in a 30cL cylindrical mug.
4/2.5/3/3/2.5
Opaque mahogany with decent lacing. It smells neutral and sour-grainy.
Ah! But the roasted malt carries the day. It's a schwarzbier of sorts, and I enjoy it at first, but I don't even want to finish the small glass. Ah, well.
Note: The beer is just called "Dark," no ABV or style listed.
