Not only does the beer have you barking like a seal when ordering, but it brings two brewing cultures together. The nutty, malty yet somberly drinkable nut brown ale of London along with a firm and hoppy American punch give Ethereal's brown ale the best of both worlds.

Dark brown and steadily capped with an off white blanket of foam, the lacy ale soothes the senses with rich toffee, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Slightly of hazelnut, a citrusy scent carries over to a rich and velvety dark chocolate and caramel medley once it hits the tongue.

Once the beer rolls onto the middle palate, its sweetness begins to recede and its hop influence begins to grow. The citrusy taste of grapefruit and orange peel are the classic pacific northwest taste but also with a hint of pineapple and coconut. Pine, herb, grass and citrus frame a bittersweet finish with the linger of nutella, dark chocolate and soft kona coffee-like taste.

Medium full and richly textured, the soothing maltiness wraps the tongue with a silky smoothness that's accessorized by vanilla-like and hazelnut-like textures as well as taste. Bitter hops balance the richness and provides a lightness to the session to keep things drinkable and almost refreshing.
