Upping the ante on their late season saison that was laced with peach and probiotic, this Ethereal rendition introduces both rum and coconut to keep the tropical flare of summer alive all year long.
As its abbreviated name, RBBAPBHMM with Coconut just rolls off the tongue, its pale and pastel peach, golden and straw hues glow amongst a full yeasty haze. As a friendly and curious scent of sun tan lotion surrounds the senses, the fruit-centric scent of the tropic looms with that underling twang of wine and the spice of rum. A surprising amount of sweetness layers on the tongue, a candied, confectioner's, toasted breadiness kisses the tongue with the likeness of circus peanut candies.
As the vanilla, cashew and spicy sweetness pulls from the barrel, these nuances wrap around the peach for a taste of tropical fruit punch. Its macerated peach flavor develop into aspects of mango, papaya and apricot while the rum evokes a sense of nutmeg and curry blends. The coconut smoothens out the session with a soothing taste of vanilla and cream with a soured taste of pulled candy coming in late.
A highly unusual flavor combination comes together with a final impression of Mexican horchata with a spicy, sweet & sour alternation of taste. A medium length linger of candy and butter pecan surprisingly extends into a medium length aftertaste and only the character of rum soaked oak teasing the tastebuds afterwards.
