Peach and papaya right off the bat. Smooth yet bitey on the tongue. The sweetness is perfect, not overpowering, yet a delightful sweetness. Enjoyed at Pies and Pints in Lexington, KY.

The haze just got a little hazier as the New England styled IPA of Ethereal Brewing goes upscale. Straight to imperial status, a juicy, fruity and herbal hop character carries a little extra weight and spice.
Pouring a pale and tarnish taupe color and held in a turbid tapioca visual consistency, Nimbus constructs a dense off-white froth before a scent of tropical fruit, citrus and a bouquet of herbs waft about the nose. A rich pastry dough sweetness kicks off the flavors with notions of shortbread, cereal and sherbet providing a malty upstart.
But the hops soon skirt across the middle palate, delivering a wallop of mango, pineapple, orange and grapefruit. Nuances of lime, gooseberry, red berries, passionfruit and papaya bring a nearly banana-like ester profile. Trending moderately bitter, the fruity impressions take on a fresh zested spiciness along with a host of gin-like botanicals.
Medium full in body, the Imperial Hazy IPA finishes bittersweet with strong hints of fresh cedar, spruce, hemp and gin leaving a medium long herbal aftertaste in its wake.
