Torn between cold brew coffee and cold brew beer? Look no further, Ethereal Brewing's got you covered. Their coffee infused dark lager is just the beer.
Dark brown and floating an easy eggshell froth, Koffie pours just like breakfast blend coffee. And those comparisons carry over to scent as a bold roasty, toasty and nutty scent overlays a supple sweet taste of caramel, light chocolate and toasted shortbread.
The more subtle beer flavors start to recede into the backdrop as the ale crosses the middle palate and its coffee flavors take hold. Slightly fruity with currant and blackberry, the coffee additions begin to deliver the more common soilish blend of woodsiness, nuttiness, toast and medium roast. Caramel and a broadly bitter spice carries an even keel tone into the late palate.
Medium bodied and easy drinking, the beer's robust taste is juxtaposed by the drier, crisper and lighter weight body. An extension of woods, spices and toast trail into a medium long, coffee accented aftertaste.
