If your tastebuds can use some company, then Ethereal Brewing is acting as match maker but pairing the senses up with a succulent, tantalizing and racy Gose-styled sour ale with lime, tangerine, mango and passionfruit. This tropical romance can happen with each and every sip.
Tropical Romance gets going with a foggy yellow-golden appearance with a scant fast dissolving froth. With an abundance of citrus, wine, tropical fruit and cider mingling with the nose, a soft and cereal sweetened maltiness greets the early palate with a creamy flavor with hints of taffy, vanilla and starch.
The blossoming flavors of tropical fruits abound on the middle palate with a succulent, tangy and branch-ripened character of passionfruit, orange, mango and lime switching from racy citrus fruit to more exotic tropical flavors with a backdrop of lemon, green apple, white grape and gooseberry. Growing increasingly sour, the late taste is crisp, dry and spicy with fruit pectins creating a nearly cinnamon-like bite.
Medium bodied early, the beer trends quickly dry, refreshing and highly thirst quenching. Its finishes fruity, spicy and sour with a slightly puckering mouthfeel and then a quick finish of sourdough and yeast spice.
