Not too bitter, yet not too smooth either, Ethereal strikes the difference between west coast and northeast beer making with a beer that's as hop-head friendly as baby bear soup.
Hazy and glowing with a soft lemony hue, 10 Person Picnic floats a creamy white froth and an fruity herbalness that hinges of citrus, spruce, tropical and peppery herb. As its soft sweetness flows across the early palate, the malts come in waves of powdered sugar, honey, lihgt bread and shortcake.
As the hops grow to surpass the slowly fading sweetness, an acute taste of white grapefruit, orange peel and lemon zest rise first, and then with a followup of dried pineapple, passionfruit and kiwi. As the ale slowly dries, the fruity hops turn to spicy grasses, herbs and evergreens in a peppery bitterness that extends with moderately sticky resins.
Medium bodied, trending semi-crisp, drying and still plump, 10 Person Picnic finishes malty-dry and with an extension of spruce, fresh grass clippings and citrus peel.
