With strength by her side, this mother isn't backing down from any beer. Chocked full of Citra and Nectaron hops along with imperial status, it all makes Ethereal's double IPA the mother load for haze.
Coming as a pale and pastel glowing orange-gold appearance, the frothy ale immediately starts to flood the nose with all-things-citrus along with a host of stone and orchard fruit with a hint of herbal nuances. Sweet and creamy once on the tongue, notions of cereal, vanilla and shortcake start to arise.
The middle palate swirls with lingering creamy malts and growing hop flavor to create a sherbet-like effect on the tastebuds. Sorbet, smoothie and tropical fruit punch take turns framing the bold orange, apricot, mango and peach flavors from those coveted hops. Trending spicy and bitter, the late taste invites sharper resins and warming alcohol to provide a taste more aligned with bellini and screwdriver cocktails.
Full bodied, smoothly bitter and rounded on the palate, the ale dives into a semi-dry finish with an even keel bitter-sweet ratio that trails into an herbal aftertaste of fruit peels, verbena and sun tea.
