Called a peanut butter milk stout on the brewery's beer board. I got the last of the keg (a very small five gallon batch) which amounted to about 6 oz of beer.
Ebony color with a thin yet sticky and clinging head. The initial scent seemed like coffee yet further whiffs revealed a strong roasted peanut butter aroma. The flavor was much like the aroma with some chocolate notes. Medium body, smooth and glassy mouthfeel; semi-sweet finish.
Sure, I got the dregs of the batch but what tasty remnants they were! Peanut butter dominated the aroma and flavor yet were nicely balanced and integrated with the rest of the beer's components. The brewer said they tapped the keg only last night. Hopefully this beer will see a return as it's tasty and intriguing.
