Got in a trade with beergoot. 32 ounce crowler into tulip glass, filled on 6/23/2019. Pours very hazy medium orange/amber, light copper/red color with a 1 finger dense and rocky light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, strawberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, strawberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, strawberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.6%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel and not aggressive. Really unique hop profile. Feels like El Dorado, Huell Melon, and Belma. Very juicy and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a nice bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Big frothy head, white and stick; pale yellow body, mildly cloudy. Gentle malt grain and biscuit scent with a bit of lemon. Lemon grass flavor with a light powdered sugar sweetness; very faint citrus notes; well-rounded hop bitterness. Medium body; soft and velvety on the palate; mainly dry mouthfeel throughout the taste.
This beer is crafted using only Colorado-sourced ingredients and in collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Field Institute which advocates the conservation and stewardship of public lands in Southern Colorado. This beer is rather malt-forward with a low-key lemon presence and has an absolutely heavenly mouthfeel.
