Dull and light hued yellow body; dirty; thin and wispy head, yet lasting; rings of foam drop down the glass. Nice aroma blend of cereal grains and white grape musk; fruity. Bready, malty flavor; some dull esters and sweetness; pungent hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; velvety; thick dryness on the palate.
This beer is a tough one to critique. The Nelson Savin hops are certainly prevalent, the ABV suitably hidden, and it has a pronounced light grain presence and soft sweetness to it. Yet, it doesn't seem quite gelled or coherent. But I still like drinking it. Shit, I guess this is one of those one-offs that, unless I drink more in the near future, will keep me guessing as to its appeal. Not bad and worth a try...
