Ostend Sundays is a Blonde Ale first brewed with our local friends and some of our earliest supporters. Featuring a restrained malt and hop bill. This Blonde Ale is then conditioned on fresh pineapples. Our perfect companion to warm weather drinking on the patio.

I should have saved this one for summer. Beautiful golden look, average smell, but a very bright, crisp taste with notes of pineapple. See me in May - I'll be stocking up on this for a yardwork beer.

Cloudy gold with a full two fingers of pearl white foam. Smell and taste are clones: bready grains, blonde malts, pineapple, lemon zest, and herbal hop kiss on the finish. Not a complex blonde ale, but hits all the right notes. Additionally the feel stays bright, light, sneaky juicy in the middle, and crisp on the finish. Perfect for summer day drinking in the sun. "A blonde ale conditioned on pineapple puree and dry-hopped with Summer and Amarillo hops."
Draft pour at the brewery.
This is not the best blonde I have had from them but still pretty good. The pineapple is subtle but strong enough to be refreshing. The body approaches medium with high carbonation.
6/13/20 revisit.
16 ounce can poured into a willi becher. Canned 6/8/20
To my surprise my rating numbers match the ones from three years ago.
Golden/amber and moderately hazy it is topped with three fingers of white fluffy foam that leaves decent lace. Tangy sweet aromas of sour dough, fruity and spicy hops and a hint of pineapple make up a decent strength nose. Taste is really not much different, starting slightly sweet and finishing tangy and dry. The medium body seems to thin as it warms, medium-high carbonation adds some crispness to the otherwise creamy body. Decent blonde but I’ve had better, and Diamondback has brewed better.
