Ah, the small town brewery. More than ample space to walk around inside Second Salem, ample parking, old town well preserved outside the window, dark wooden bar and tables with the brewhouse walled off behind the bar.

The beer list is respectable at 7 beer taps, plus a cider, all house beer, hitting the styles from blond ale and Hefeweizen, to coffee porter and India Dark Ale. There is extra credit given towards Second Salem in regards towards the extra array of glassware. Add in respectable beer quality and solid grub (such as the Wisconsin Burger), and you have solid small town brewpub stop.

Great experience here on a laid-back Sunday afternoon post-Great Taste.
Relaxing atmosphere, eclectic music selection playing, natural light coming in the front windows, illuminating the bar and brewery visible behind it. Unique paintings in the front foyer of paranormal legends and haunted places. Some has to do with the local lore of centuries old occult practices. A cool antique beer can painting was in the corner by a front window.

L-shaped bar in the back, with a dining area to the left. In the back was another bar with overflow seating and a really nice small patio overlooking a lake with a trail dotted with weeping willow trees.

Beer was mostly above average, with a couple of tart fruited saisons that were a highlight. A citra hopped session IPA was another standout. On the low end was the insipid golden ale, which wasn’t converting any macro drinkers while I was there.

They had a brunch menu with some creative benedict options.
Main menu was pretty extensive, the curds were huge and tasty. With a side of candied “unicorn bacon” it was more than enough food.

Overall it was a great spot, would definitely return. Would probably try to eat at Casual Joe’s for BBQ next time and have a few beers here.

The beer here is amazing. We have enjoyed the Bone Orchard. It is fairly hoppy with lots of body. The Witches Brew is also very good. The food is tremendous. We have not had pulled pork to compare anywhere. We highly recommend Taco Tuesday and Friday Fish Fry!

Been meaning to stop by Second Salem for months and finally did for a few samples. I was very impressed. From the warm welcome when you first arrived by the waitress to owner/brewer Chris chatting us up about brewing and beer. Service was good and attentive. Nice vibe with smaller seating area but larger area in back with outside seating overlooking a lake in the distance. It was recommended to try the deep-fried pretzels and they were hands-down the best I've ever had - light, airy, and mighty tasty. A few others at the bar ordered pulled pork and burgers and they looked very good with gourmet-style buns and large portions. Beer was clean and tasty. Good selection too with golden ale, pale ale, IPA, coffee porter, wheat, and amber. I'll definitely be coming back!
