Black colour, no translucence. Brown foam, high, but not very persistent. It melts to a thicker ring at the sides of the glass.
The aroma seems a little delicate, but nevertheless, you can smell roasted, coffee, but also peaty, earthy notes. Alongside these aromas there is an herbal, woodland note.
Taste: it seemed that it would be sweetly dry and it is clearly acidic only with a delicate sweet-dry background. The finish is already decidedly bitter, roasted long.
Saturation low. Body full downwards. Smooth texture. Aftertaste long dry, roasted, peaty.

A beer of a peculiar style and that in catalonia is very rare. The beer I liked, forceful, evolves into the glass, with contrasting tastes. A beer to have a good time.

Lovely pitch black colour with a full cappucino head that sinks slowly but keeps the surface covered and leaves pretty lacing. Smell of smoked ham, chocolate, coffee, malt, hops and caramel. These flavours return in the taste. Pleasantly sweet, with some bitterness in the finish. I'm surprised how intense this 6.2 abv beer is. It's also very balanced and complex. I especially love how the smoke flavour blends with the rest. Mouth feel is very good: full bodied and smooth. This beer's a beauty.

330 ml bottle, Firmabier - Pours dark black with a large tanned foamy head. Medium carbonation. Smell - Smoky, roasted malts. Taste - Sweet, creamy mouthfeel, smoky, roasty malts with a bitter aftertaste. Lovely well balanced smoked porter. More smoky feelness than others but still very drinkable.

Got this one from the local Mitra here in Utrecht.
From a bottle into a snifter
EBU: 38
EBC: 73
APPEARANCE: A clear, dark brown pour yields a 1+ finger, medium-thicker, creamier, light tan head with good retention. Dark bistre brown body with lower levels of carbonation for the style. Head fades to a full cap and sticks to the sides of the glass. A slightly swirly wisp remains until the end leaving lots of lacing as the glass empties.
SMELL: Leather, smoky aromas, light chocolate, earthy notes and a bit of peat on the nose. Really well measured and put together.
TASTE: Smoked notes, roasted flavors, leather and a nice earthy character up front. Very nice. Bold and lingering finish of roasted malts, dark chocolate, some leather and peated malt notes. Hints of smoked meat as well. Very well balanced and enjoyable.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch mouth-coating. Some smoky flavors linger.
OVERALL: Great stuff! Excellently balanced, with lots of nicely put together flavor and aroma, with a solid feel to support the whole show. One of the best lower ABV porters in these parts, and a much more interesting and well constructed brew than the pale ale. Well worth checking out. Highly recommended.
