Copenhagen 13/11 2021. 44 cl can from Fish & Beer, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Intricate, detailed can design in brown, white and gold with a skeletal and a more fleshy hand doing a heart sign. Reminds me a bit of Chris Wares fantastic comics books.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty and roasted odor mingling with a light scent of metallic alcohol. Dark roasted malts, brown sugar, tobacco. Sweet liqueur and a boozy streak.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, viscous texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter undertone. Finish is sweet with a boozy touch.
Solid and not too sweet barely hiding the considerable ABV.
