Poured on tap at the brewpub in a snifter, the beer is a hazy, straw yellow coloring, with a thin, clingy, white head. Aromas of sweet grapefruit and lemon, with grassy and piney hops to follow. Flavors are juicy forward, grapefruit and lemon tart, all on a grassy, pine pitch, and pepper spice backbone. Tremendously balanced on a light, dry body. Citrus and dank hops aftertaste. Crisp, dry body, with a solid citrus and piney linger. Awesome beer!

Poured a cloudy orange body with two finger head and had an aroma that balanced tropical and grapefruit hop aromas with some bitter citric notes. Balanced, easy drinking IPA that has a somewhat hoppy, bitter finish that complements the sweet fruit flavors given off during passage over taste buds.

Appearance: pours a yellow/gold color. a small white head forms and has low retention, just barely leaves a retention. hazy and opaque
Smell: strong hop aroma, lemon and citrus, some resin and pine, with a light tropical fruit to berry. light crystal malt sweetness.
Taste: nice hop bite up front. some light berry, light tropical fruit and citrus. good amount of resinous hop character. moderate amount of light crystal sweetness.
Mouthfeel: light, strong lingering bitterness.
Overall: a good ipa but not quite an upper tier one. the taste has some nice fruity and hoppy character, just falls a little off of the balance that I look for in an ipa

Mine wasn't as hazy as the others, perhaps it was settled out? Still a very attractive beer to say the least. Big grapefruit slap. Reminded me of the slap you get when you breathe in Hopslam. Just massive. Flavor settled out a bit with the help of some balancing hops but still had every bit of hop spice in the shape of tropical wonder. Felt a touch thin when compared to the taste and smell, making it dangerously drinkable but I think I could have been good with it being a touch thicker.

Pours a hazy yellow on tap @ The Answer. Big tropical nose, with hints of citrus and faint malt. Flavor is straight juicy tropical punch with no cloying sweetness. Not extremely bitter due to big late hop additions. Think New England IPAs. Slight Peach/pineapple ester from the yeast (Think Heady New England DIPA). The body is light, the feel is medium from what is probably water chemistry adjustment, a must for this style IPA. Great showcase for the Citra & Mosaic hops. These guys are making some of the best IPAs in Virginia right now. A solid A- in my book. Maybe they will start calling them IPAn's?
