Canned 4/10/17. Pours one shade shy of black with a khaki-colored head that quickly dissipates. Nose expresses dark chocolate, molasses and just the merest hint of a metallic character. Taste reveals a huge coffee presence - amazing! Sweet and a little boozy with a pleasant chocolate backbone. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an even carbonation. Overall, really quite delightful and tasty; however, I don't get any toasted coconut on this one.

Dark brown body with a viscous beige collar. Aromas of chocolate, brown sugar, coconut. Beautifully rich chocolate character with coconut elegantly integrated. Sweet milk chocolates. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Quite tasty.

Poured on tap at the brewpub in a snifter, the beer is jet black, with a tan halo of head. Nose of roasted coconut, roasted coffee grounds, bittersweet chocolate, and sugary highlights. Wow! Flavors are sweet coconut forward, with toasted overtones, all on a bittersweet chocolate backbone. Subtle mocha notes, with hints of tangy creme and sugary highlights. Amazingly balanced, on a smooth, creamy body. The aftertaste is toasted coconut, milk chocolate, and candy sweetness. Smooth, slow, lingering finish. Great beer!
