Crowler shared by Darrell. Thanks man. Near black body with a thin, viscous beige collar that leaves lacing cascading down the glass. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, milk, a general sweetness. Barrel aged characteristics are subtle. Lots of milk chocolate notes with just a hint of bourbon. Medium bodied with a present sweetness throughout. A good dessert beer for sharing several ways.

Pours one shade shy of black with a quarter inch, khaki-colored head. Nose expresses artificial vanilla, marshmallow and cocoa. Taste follows nose with a hint of cardboard in the flavor profile. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a mild carbonation. Overall, really quite solid - I can't believe it comes in at 10% abv.

Poured on tap in a snifter, the beer is jet black and creamy smooth, with a solid, dense, light tan head. Aromas of rich milk chocolate and heavy vanilla, with hints of coffee and bourbon. Flavors are milk chocolate forward, with a bourbon booze spice and warmth follow. Rich vanilla creeps up next, with a very subtle coffee and molasses backbone. Creamy smooth and full bodied, with a chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon aftertaste. Smooth, creamy, layered finish, with a building warmth and candy sweet linger. Great beer!
