Contrary to other big coffee stouts on the menu, no notes were provided from The Answer. However, this definitely still has coffee, presumably Kona from the name. Given the lack of notes, I assume it is a coffee stout without any other additives, and I didn't get anything in the flavor profile to suggest otherwise: the December 2017 release was listed at 16% abv and is a great Kona showcase. Clean, bright coffee suggesting macadamia, milk chocolate, and hints of pineapple or other tropical fruit. The body was lighter than expected, given the 16% abv and legs on the glass, leaving a bit to be desired here, but the flavors are on point.

L: Had this beer on-tap at the Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A super enticing aroma of cofffee, nuts, roasted malt, and some coconut.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of roasted malt, lots of coffee (not overdone), a good shot of coconut, a hint of chocolate, some hazelnuts, and a slightly boozy quality. Like the other Kahuna beers, this one is quite well made and tasty. It's complex, big, bracing, and likable.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: Essentially, this is a boozier version of the Kahuna beers, but that's not a bad thing. Well made and drinkable.
