Crowler poured into fluted snifter.
Hazy yellow straw, foamy off-white head, big bubbles settle into thin collar.
Aroma is citrus zest and juice, some light grain and some resinous earthy pine and grass.
Lots of hops hit you first, lemon zest, orange juice, some tropical fruits. Earthiness and bitterness is there too. Resinous, pine needles, grass and hint of toasty grain.
Moderate carbonation and a soft medium body.
Good blend of hop flavors, smooth and tasty.

The AnswerBrewpub "Piece Of The Action (Triple Dry Hopped)
$11.50 for a 32 fl. oz. crowler at the brewery, filled 06/17 and sampled on 06/27
Notes via stream of consciousness: Wow, interesting graphics on the can. It reads "100% MOSAIC IPA WITH LUPULIN POWDER - 7% ABV TRIPLE DRY HOPPED". It pours a hazy yellow gold body beneath a full head of bright white that settles to a finger-thick, and then even lower, head. What I have right in front of me now after typing the above is a solid surface covering with walls of lace rising up along the sides of the glass, and some pretty impressive lacing from the initial head. So, very good head retention and lacing. The aroma delivers a combination of grainy malt and pungent, resinous, mildly citrusy, and somewhat herbal hops. It's not as bold as I'd expected it to be, especially for something that's triple dry-hopped, but it's nice, and there is something unique about it. The flavor surprises as well. It's not that bitter, and lightly sweetish, but also just slightly acidic which balances it. I was also expecting massive amounts of tropical fruit, but that's not the case. Sure there's some mango and citrus (mainly lemon), but there's also berry, and pine. Was it pine that I was smelling, and not herbs? It's hard to tell. Others have used the word dank, and I guess that fits it pretty well. But back to the flavor, there's just a bit of that, and pine, amidst the fruitiness. It's unusual. I've never had a beer exactly like this before, and I wonder if the lupulin powder has anything to do with that. It's almost like a summer beer in that it's so fruity and not-bitter. Not that there's not bitterness there, but it doesn't grab you, and it never builds on the palate. It just balances the malt, and the malt doesn't seem that full either. I'd call it medium bodied, maybe even medium-light, and gently crisp. It finishes with a dollop of sweetness that fades shortly leaving behind pine and some lingering dull bitterness. Oddly, the alcohol doesn't really even have a presence, let alone show itself. How strong is this? 7%, well I guess that makes sense. Looking back, the lacing isn't as good as it initially was, but there's still a thin surface covering that's almost completely solid. Overall a really solid, sweet and fruity and "dank" strong ale - not quite sure I want to call it an IPA except for the stronger hoppiness. Remarkably, and almost compellingly, drinkable.

L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter. Had a pale yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch, foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Decent lacing.
S: An enticing aroma of hops, citrus fruit, light malt, and a lightly dank quality.
T: Tasted of a bunch of light citrus fruit (lemon, in particular), a tinge of malt, some grapefruit, whole bunch of hops (not too much, though), and some light pine notes. An interesting flavor, full of hops and citrus and everything else you expect from an IPA flavor. Pretty tasty.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Light-bodied.
O: This is well made, easy to drink IPA. Very much drinkable.

Looks simple enough, all hazy pale yellow and all. Fizzy white head leaves behind a decent bit of lacing as well. Not a huge nose, and what's there has a slightly sulfur hint before a touch of pine. Taste takes off very well with a big grapefruit punch, followed by a touch of stylistically acceptable tartness sharing the moment with some dankness, and exits with a fairly dry and bitter bit of fanfare.
