Mini crowler from Brewery. Black, slick pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is chocolaty, coffee, nutty. Taste is thick and sweet, chocolate, coffee and hazelnuts. Well rounded, excellent stout.

The beer has a very good looking dark chocolate brown head and a delicious coffee black color with a slight gooey texture.
The smell has a good upfront coconut and coffee smell upfront with a hint of vanilla.
The taste is freaking delicious. It has a nice coffee note that runs through the entire beer from start to finish. The main note seems to be a mix of the cocoa and honey with a moderate coconut.
The feel is good. It’s a heavy bodied beer with a gooey and slightly syrupy texture to it.
Overall, a fantastic beer and one that I absolutely love. It has a good choice of ingredients that make a wonderful mix.

On-tap at The Answer Brewpub, Richmond, VA
A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a thin light tan collar around the edge fo the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of coffee are preset in the nose along with notes of dark chocolate. Strong notes of bourbon barrel-aged honey are present in the back end of the smell, particularly once the beer warms up.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of bourbon barrel-aged honey along with hints of coffee beans. There is a moderate amount of sweetness.
M: It feels full-bodied and slick on the palate with a low to moderate amount of carbonation. There is some warming from the alcohol in the mouthfeel.
O: As this beer warms up the bourbon barrel-aged honey becomes very prominent. It is quite drinkable considering its strength because the alcohol is not overly apparent in the taste.

I Am CM Bryant was my favorite of the five big coffee stouts I tried on draft at The Answer, and given the similarity in added ingredients across multiple brews, I would attribute its success to the Blue Mountain beans and the honey. The earthy nuttiness and low bitterness of Blue Mountain coffee complements the base beer, and the bourbon barrel-aged honey simultaneously sweetens, adds a touch of barrel oak, and slightly dries out the finish. The hazelnuts are complemented by the nutty coffee, but the toasted coconut is less prominent here than in some of the other stouts on offer like the Ryan Stumpf Chocolate Cake and Mounds Vesuvius.

L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and an opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of creamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: An enticing aroma of chocolate, coffee, hazelnuts, and bourbon.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of hazelnuts (always a good addition), some light bourbon notes, coconut, a little honey, lots of coffee, a hint of honey, and roasted malt. A nicely complex, coffee-centric flavor. The taste is incredibly well-balanced and easy to drink.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: If you like coffee stouts, give this one a shot. It's well made and drinkable.
