L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A good aroma of coffee, roasted malt, spices, and maple syrup.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of roasted malt, light chocolate notes, some coffee (not quite as much as expected), a little bit of vanilla, some maple syrup, and a hint of cinnamon. A very solid, very focused flavor. Much more subtle and not quite as sweet as some of the The Answer's stouts, but still very tasty.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is quite a drinkable imperial stout. Easy to drink and well made.

silk like appearance. dark coffee black.
Great hazelnut note with bits of cinnamon.
Taste is fantastic. Hazelnut with a great roast undertone that lasts until the finish along with the maple syrup which is light but manages to have a consistent presence regardless. Cinnamon and vanilla are good but get more lost as it warms.
Creamy and milky feel that is good.
So good. So good.
