Another of the many coffee stouts on offer at The Answer in late December 2017. This one features Sumatra Mandheling coffee, cacao nibs, hazelnut, and toasted coconut. The coffee is quite earthy, with roasted nuts and tobacco notes. Aside from this, the addition of black cherries would make this a perfect black forest cake in a glass. The toasted coconut is quite prominent, standing out above the hazelnuts, and providing a nice complement to the cacao nibs. Intense chocolate when first served, with the coffee coming more front and center as the beer warms. An excellent dessert sipper.

L: Had this beer on-tap at the Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and an opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Pretty good lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of hazelnuts, coconut, chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee.
T: Tasted of a bit of coffee, a fair amount of roasted malt, some chocolate (not as much as expected), a tinge of coconut, hazelnuts, and light hops in the finish. A very likable flavor overall. Not quite as chocolatey as advertised, but it's still a well done flavor.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: This is a well made, easy to drink stout. Definitely worth a try.
