L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a small, tan-colored, foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Good lacing.
S: A very good aroma of coffee, roasted malt, maple syrup, bourbon, and chili peppers.
T: Tasted of a tinge of vanilla, a whole lot of bourbon (and the accompanying barrel), lots of maple syrup, some cinnamon, a bit of chili peppers, and some coffee as well. This is a big, bracing flavor. It's forcefulness is derived mostly from the bourbon, but the other elements join in as well. Powerful and tasty.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a super smooth, almost creamy finish. Full-bodied.
O: This is a well made big beer - definitely not one for the faint of heart. Well worth a try.
