L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, off white, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of coffee, coconut, chocolate, maple syrup and a nutty quality.
T: Tasted of a good amount of coconut, light malt notes (in the finish), a good amount of maple syrup, a bit of chocolate, lots of coffee, and nuts (macadamia, hazelnut). A big, powerful, and complex flavor. Not at all boozy despite the 16% ABV. The maple is an oddly endearing addition to Papa Kahuna stout.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: Yet another likable stout from The Answer. Very much worth a try.
