L: Had this on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a jet black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was an inch of creamy, tan-colored, extremely long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A big, strong aroma of espresso, malt, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
T: Tasted of a bit of roasted malt (present throughout), a gigantic shot of espresso (dominating), a tinge of dark chocolate, a bit of cinnamon, and some maple syrup as well. This flavor is, far and away, a showcase for espresso. At first, it's kind of off-putting, but it levels off after awhile. The maple syrup complements it well.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: This is an interesting, well done stout. Well worth a look.
