The beer pours a a nice dark brown bordering on black head. The beer itself is a dark fudge like black with the same kind of heft to it.

The smell has a strong marshmallow that dominates the smell with fudge and hazelnut notes underneath it. The fudge is the stronger of the two notes.

The taste has similar notes in the same order but with a very strong sugary note.

The feel has a heavy body with very light carbonation. The texture is smooth and silky.

Overall, a pretty good beer worth having and, like their other stouts, indulgent.

On-tap at The Answer Brewpub, Richmond, VA

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a thin light tan collar around the edge of the glass and a patch of bubbles on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate fudge are present in the nose.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of marshmallows along with notes of chocolate fudge. There is an intense amount of sweetness.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and a little "airy" on the palate (from the marshmallows) with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer has a very nice balance between the marshmallows and the fudge. It hides its alcohol very well, although the sweetness can make it a bit tough to drink. You need to sip this slowly, just like you take your time when you are eating fudge.

L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark, chocolatey brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a small amount of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Fair lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of chocolate, marshmallow, nuts and vanilla.

T: Tasted of a hint of vanilla (not overly noticeable), a ton of chocolate (omnipresent), some macadamia nuts, lots of marshmallow, a bit of hazelnut, and a hint of honey. Yes, it really does taste like fudge and marshmallow. It's a big, complex, chocolate-centric flavor. No real evidence of the high ABV%. Very delicious.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with a super smooth, almost chewy finish. Full-bodied.

O: A well-made, easy to drink stout. Very much drinkable.
