L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a jet black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, tan-colored, creamy head that quickly dissipated. Pretty good lacing.
S: A very enticing aroma of chocolate, coffee, malt, bourbon, nuts, and coconut.
T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish), some hazelnut notes, lots of coffee, a hint of coconut, light spices (cinnamon), some bourbon, and a lot of chocolate. An extremely focused, surprisingly subtle flavor. Chocolate and coffee always seem to work well in stouts, and this is no exception. Very complex and tasty.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An extremely well done stout. Very much drinkable.
