L: Had this beer on-tap at The Answer Brewpub, poured into a snifter glass. Had a jet black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A sweet and powerful aroma of coffee, vanilla, nuts, malt, chocolate, and cream.
T: Tasted of a good amount of hazelnuts (always a welcome addition), lots of coffee (the big ingredient here), some malt (present throughout), light chocolate notes, and a hint of vanilla. A sweet, creamy, and likable flavor. It's a bit more subtle than the aroma suggests, but still quite flavorful. Pretty tasty stuff.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: A wholly enjoyable beer. Drinkable.
